Pets In Costume To March In Glen Cove's Howl'oween Pet Parade
Calling all pet owners in Glen Cove.

Glen Cove’s most beloved four-legged, furry friends will parade through the City in adorable costumes for the Seventh Annual Howl’oween Pet Parade on Sunday, Oct. 29.
Participating pets from previous years have included dogs, cats, guinea pigs, parrots and even a snake.
Get creative with the outfits: there will be a contest held for the pets with the best costumes. Pet owners are also encouraged to dress up. Matching pet/owner costumes are welcome. Memorable costumes from previous years include spaghetti and meatballs, Minons and ballerinas.

“My wife Coleen and I always dress up our dog Cooper for the parade and while he is a good sport about his costume, I think he enjoys playing with the other dogs much more,” Mayor Reggie Spinello said in a press release. “Glen Covers are wildly creative and each year I look forward to seeing their ingenious costumes and their special pets.”
Attendees are also encouraged to help a good cause by bringing a non-perishable pet food or toy to donate to the Cove Animal Rescue, said Director of Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Darcy Belyea.
