Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held For Glen Cove Village Square Construction Office
Village Square is slated to open in the spring of 2019.
The City of Glen Cove and real estate developer RXR Realty held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday for the opening of the Village Square construction field office.
The opening of the office, located at 21 Bridge St., is the start of an ongoing effort to revitalize the City's downtown, RXR says.
RXR says the Village Square project, which is slated to open in the spring of 2019, will offer:

- 17,500 square feet of new retail storefronts
- 16,000-square-foot civic plaza
- 146 new rental units
- A fitness center
- On-site parking
Demolition on Village Square began earlier this month. RXR Realty is also in charge of the Garvies Point redevelopment, which broke ground late last year.
The event was attended by RXR Realty Senior Vice President Joe Graziose, Mike Leone and Sefi Graider of RXR, as well as Glen Cove Deputy Mayor Barbara Peebles and Mayor Reginald Spinello.
