The Annual Gold Coast Concours/Bimmerstock Car Show committee have been meeting regularly to plan what is shaping up to be the most exciting event ever. Thousands of spectators come to Glen Cove’s Downtown for a close-up look at hundreds of high-performance cars, listen to great music, eat delicious food truck fare and buy raffles for dozens of great prizes.
“This is a spectacular event that has something for everyone,” Event Committee Member and County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton said. “Event Founder and Martino Auto Concepts owner Joe LaPadula spends countless hours ensuring the event raises as much money for diabetes research as possible. There aren’t words to express my appreciation to someone who does so much to help my daughter and the many others who have type 1 diabetes.”
Between sponsorships and proceeds from this event, tens of thousands of dollars will be raised for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRI), which is working on a breakthrough treatment for type 1 diabetes.
