Space Is Limited At Glen Cove Kayak Storage Rack

The City of Glen Cove wants to remind kayak enthusiasts they can purchase an annual storage rack spot.

An annual spot at the Glen Cove Municipal Boat ramp can be purchased for $90 with checks payable to the City of Glen Cove. You need proof of residency to receive a permit. Space is limited, the City says.

Kayak owners must provide their own cable and lock, and place the permit sticker on the kayak transform so it is visible when stored. All kayaks are stored at the owner’s risk, the City says. Kayaks must be removed no later than Dec. 1, 2017.

The Glen Cove Municipal Boat Ramp is located at Mercadante Beach at the end of Garvies Point Road.

Interested parties can pick up their permit forms at the Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Department, located at Room 206 in City Hall, on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
