Spring Egg Hunt Set for April 6

More than 8,000 eggs will be placed at Glen Cove City Stadium.

The Glen Cove Spring Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at City Stadium, according to the Glen Cove Department of Parks and Recreation.

Director Darcy Belyea and Mayor Ralph Suozzi will be joined by "an immaculately dressed, floppy-eared, cotton-tailed critter, back by popular demand," according to the City.

Peter Cottontail will leave behind more than 8,000 plastic eggs with treats inside. Children between the ages of 3 and 10 are invited to bring baskets and collect as many as they can.

This will be the city's 12th hunt.

The event is open to Glen Cove residents only. Parental supervision is required.

A rain date is set for Sunday, April 7 at 11 a.m. at the stadium.
