St. Rocco's Feast 2018 In Glen Cove

St. Rocco's Feast, known as the "Best Feast In the East" returns to Glen Cove in August.

The popular feast features live music and entertainment, rides, games for kids, raffle prizes and a wide variety of food.

This is the week of the Glen Cove-based St. Rocco's Parish "Best Feast in The East," which will be celebrated from Wednesday, Aug. 1 to Sunday, Aug. 5. The Church of St. Rocco's is located at Third Street and St. Rocco Place.

Each year, thousands of people travel to the area to feast on sausage and pepper sandwiches, homemade pasta, meatballs, tripe and other delicacies. And if you still have an appetite, look for the Italian pastries, Belgium waffles, espresso, cappuccino and homemade ice cream.

The hours of operation are:

• Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Saturday: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Sunday: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event will be held rain or shine.

Parking is available on surrounding streets. The feast is within walking distance from the Glen Street train station. A free shuttle bus will be available from St. Patrick's Church, located at 235 Glen St.
