Gold Coast Concours/Bimmerstock has raised more than $534,000 to benefit the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) since its inception. Last year, the show raised $75,000.

“I am grateful for the generosity of Long Island’s car community as each year they rally to help make a difference for diabetes research,” show founder Joe La Padula of Martino Auto Concepts said.

“As a mother whose child has diabetes, this event underscores the power a concerned group of individuals can have and the positive impact they can bring to people in need,” DRI board member and Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton said.

The event is presented by Martino Auto Concepts, First City Project, Exotics4Life, and OWWR with support from the Glen Cove and Nassau County Police Departments.
