Thunderstorms Likely As Holiday Weekend Kicks Off
We've got the full holiday weekend forecast, which includes some unsettled weather at the start.

The Fourth of July holiday weekend is shaping up to be quite nice weather-wise once we get past some potential thunderstorms late Saturday into early Sunday.
There's about a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon on Long Island, but those odds rise to 60 percent during the evening, the National Weather Service says. The best chance for thunderstorms will be from around 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
"Through Saturday night, the greatest threat from the storms will be for localized damaging winds and perhaps flash flooding," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Thompson said.

A few showers and thunderstorms may linger until 9 a.m. or so Sunday, but then grab that beach bag. Temperatures will approach 90 degrees Sunday.
Monday and the Fourth on Tuesday look just about perfect with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s.
