KIPS BAY, NY — A handful of homes have hit the market for less than $1 million in Kips Bay.

With the median sales price for a home soaring over $1.8 million in Manhattan, a less expensive digs can feel few and far between in the borough. In the Kips Bay and Murray Hill area, the first half of 2019 saw the median sales price reach $2.1 million (zip code 10010) and $1.4 million (zip code 10016), according to a recent study.

But despite these costs, if you only need a one- or two-bedroom, and you are willing to live in a cooperative building and some of the restrictions that may come with one, Kips Bay has a few options for less than $1 million.
