Body Found In Union Square Park, Police Say

UNION SQUARE, NY — A body was found dead in Union Square Park Wednesday afternoon, the New York Police Department said.

Officers responded to a 911 call about an unconscious man in Union Square about 12 p.m. Wednesday, an NYPD spokesman said.

Emergency medical personnel pronounced the man dead near Union Square West and East 15th Street in the park, police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, police said.
