GRAMERCY, NY — A new arepas restaurant recently opened its second brick-and-mortar digs in Gramercy.
Areppas, co-owned by the husband-and-wife team Celestino Diaz and Brooke Carrie Hil, officially opened its doors last month on East 23rd Street between Park and Lexington avenues.
The fast-casual Venezuelan eatery in Gramercy is in addition to Areppas' flagship spot at 954 Third Ave.

The owners plan to open a third location in SoHo at 25 Cleveland Place in the coming weeks. They also have a food truck.

The restaurant donates a meal to Latin American children for each arepa purchased through UNA X UNA. Over 92,000 children have received a meal through the program since September 2018, the restaurant says.
Areppas is open at 115 E. 23rd St., Monday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
