The list of restaurants was created based on an analysis of more than 10,000,000 reviews of more than 24,000 restaurants across the company, according to OpenTable.com. The reviewers are "verified diners," boosting the authenticity of the scores attached to each establishment listed.

The restaurant, located at 42 E. 20th St., offers two different dining options — The Tavern and the Dining room — and is spearheaded by Chef Michael Anthony. It was opened in 1994 by Danny Meyer and is included under the umbrella of Union Square Hospitality Group.
