"My take on food has always been an honest, simple approach – when you are working with the best ingredients, you don’t have to do much to plate a beautiful dish," restaurateur Reno Christou said in a statement. "At Kyma, we’ve created a menu meant to take you on a journey to the Greek islands, but we’ve sprinkled in some modern, more playful ingredients suited to New Yorkers."

The restaurant's decor will seek to evoke the architecture of the Greek islands. The eatery's white brick walls are inspired by Greece's white tree trunks, decorations include ancient pottery and olive trees and a large marble fish display will dominate the back of the dining room.
