J. Cole Announces New Album At Surprise Gramercy Show
The rapper announced his latest album at a surprise show at the Gramercy Theatre.

GRAMERCY, NY — J. Cole performed a surprise show at the Gramercy Theatre on Monday night, where he announced that his new album would be released on Friday.
The performer tweeted on Monday at about 4:15 p.m. that he would be at the music venue, located at 127 E. 23rd St., in just a few hours time. His tweet advertised a "first come first serve" concert at the venue, and said doors would open at 6 p.m.

J. Cole promised a tech lockdown at the concert, with no phones, no cameras and no press or guest lists at the concert.

Later, Cole tweeted that his new album "KOD" would be released on Friday.
