Man Who Raped And Peed On Victims Gets 10 Years: Manhattan DA
Cameron McDermott was caught after flashing multiple women in Long Island parking lots, prosecutors said.

MURRAY HILL, NY — Sex predator Cameron McDermott — the man who filmed himself raping his unconscious victims and publicly peed on a woman while wearing a wig and lipstick — was sentenced to ten years in state prison on Friday, prosecutors said.
McDermott, 32, admitted to rape and sexual abuse in the 2010 and 2013 assaults in February. He was first caught in January 2017 after a four-month spree of flashing women in Garden City, police said. In one incident, McDermott donned a black wig, yoga pants and lipstick, and approached a woman in a Garden City parking lot, police said. While asking for directions, he exposed himself and peed on her leg, according to police.
When officers obtained a search warrant for McDermott's home, they found disturbing evidence of violent sexual crimes McDermott committed in Manhattan. Investigators said they found videos and photographs on his computer and USB drives showing McDermott assaulting two women in Manhattan. Officers also found hundreds of images of child pornography in the search.

The women in the videos and images were unaware that they had been attacked until authorities informed them, according to the Manhattan District Attorney's office. McDermott was indicted for the Manhattan crimes in June.
Prosecutors revealed horrifying details about the assaults, including that McDermott had meticulously labeled the videos and photos of the rapes on his computer, using file names like "unconscious" and the victim's name and "undressing" and the victim's name.

The first victim was raped and assaulted on multiple occasions in 2010 in apartments in Gramercy Park and Murray Hill. McDermott attacked the second woman in an Upper East Side apartment at least five different times in 2013. Videos showed him slapping the woman's face to show she was unconscious, prosecutors said.
The Hempstead, NY resident pleaded guilty to rape and sexual abuse February.
McDermott is the son of Richard G. McDermott Jr., the former chief executive and president of the bond brokerage company Chapdelaine & Company, the New York Times previously reported.
