Join an online conversation on 18th century fashion and beauty with Lauren Stowell and Abby Cox of American Duchess. The American Duchess brand started as and continues to be a popular blog on historical costuming from the 16th to the 20th century. Their first style, the exclusive “Georgiana” 18th-century shoes, developed from frustration in not being able to find 18th-century footwear fit for an upper-class persona. The American Duchess line has expanded to include several styles of Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, and 1920s shoes, along with silk stockings and shoe buckles. The American Duchess team has also published several books including The American Duchess Guide to 18th Century Beauty.
