Subway Rider Grabbed 11-Year-Old Boy, Tried to Toss Him Off Moving Train: NYPD
The police are looking for a man who they say tried to throw a boy off a subway car before a good Samaritan intervened.

UNION SQUARE, NY — Police are investigating a frightening incident in which an 11-year-old boy was nearly tossed from a moving subway train near Union Square-14th Street on Oct. 5.
According to police, the suspect picked up the boy, who he did not know, and took him between the cars on a 4 train. He lifted the boy in the air and hit the boy's head on the side of the train, police said. The man then shook the boy and threatened to throw him off the moving train, before a good Samaritan intervened, according to the NYPD.
The 26-year-old woman came to the boy's aid and ushered him off the train at Union Square, while the suspect remained on board, police said.

Police described the suspect as being in his 30s, about 6 feet tall and wearing a black sweater and multi-colored baseball cap at the time of the incident. Police released a sketch of the suspect (pictured above).
