Thief Shoves Man To The Ground In Gramercy Mugging: VIDEO
A thief shoved a man to the ground before robbing him, cops said.

GRAMERCY, NY — A thief shoved a man to the ground and robbed him in Gramercy on Tuesday, police said.
The thief demanded money from the 34-year-old man who was walking westbound on East 23rd Street just after 6 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
Video released by police show the thief running up from behind the man, who was walking with an umbrella, and shoving him to the ground at East 23rd Street and Lexington Avenue.

Police said the mugger then punched the man repeatedly before snatching his cell phone, $200, and credit cards.
The man had cuts on the left side of his face from the mugging, but was not hospitalized, police said.

The thief was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt and black shorts, according to photos released by police. He fled eastbound on 23rd Street, cops said.
