Thieves Snatch Moncler Coat From Man Selling It To Them: NYPD

A man met up with two buyers to sell a Moncler coat, but instead, he was robbed, police said.

STUYVESANT TOWN, NY — Two men wrestled a man and robbed him of a luxe Moncler jacket, police said.

Police said the man, 31, met up with the thieves at a Chipotle on First Avenue near Stuyvesant Town through an app in order to sell the Moncler coat, which can cost nearly $2,000, according to the company's website.

When he met the two expected buyers about 5:50 p.m., Nov. 22, one robber snatched the jacket while the other tackled the coat seller, police said.

The duo ran off from 286 First Ave. towards East 18th Street when the man lost sight of them, police said.

They were caught on surveillance cameras nearby. One was wearing a grey shirt with a red jacket and the other was wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt, photos released by the NYPD show.
