Footage shows the man trying to pry open the doors of a home in Murray Hill using a tool.

MURRAY HILL, NY — A man was foiled during a break-in attempt in Murray Hill this month when he was scared off after the owner of the home banged on one of his windows, police said.
Police are still searching for the would-be burglar, who attempted to pry open the doors of a home near East 36th Street and Lexington Avenue on March 10 at about 3:35 a.m., according to authorities.
Surveillance footage shows the man trying the handles of the home's front doors, and, finding them locked, using an unknown tool to try and pry them open. Police said the man ran away when the resident, a 56-year-old man, banged on the windows.
