What to eat: The Miami-based bar and grill opened its first New York City location in Dumbo this week to much buzz from critics and foodies. The eclectic menu and the restaurant's stunning views of the New York City skyline have made it one of Dumbo's most anticipated new spots. The restaurant has small plates like bacon wrapped dates, sushi and sashimi options and a versatile grill that serves everything from squid lemon aioli to octopus aji panca.

Tali

Location: 77 Lexington Ave., Flatiron

What to eat: Good news for the gluten-intolerant among New York City diners: Tali promises a classic Italian menu that is also 100 percent gluten-free. It claims to be the city's first counter service, gluten-free Italian restaurant with a full bar. All of the Italian standbys that people with celiac disease have had to forego — mozzarella sticks, paninis, tiramisu — are safe to eat. The restaurant opened last week in Flatiron.

Byggyz

Location: 37-39 Clinton St., Lower East Side

What to eat: Sandwich aficionados and Lower East Siders have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Byggyz, which first teased its opening two years ago. The sandwich shop finally opened on Wednesday and has been serving up a steady stream of its popular sandwiches. The limited menu has just four sandwiches, according to Grub Street. The main draw? The BYGGYBEEF sandwich made with pomegranate-braised beef, pickled vegetables, melted American cheese and a speciality sauce.
