NOMAD, NY — Whole Foods Market is leasing a new space in NoMad, a spokesperson for the gourmet grocer confirmed.

The grocery store behemoth signed a lease for the 60,000-square-foot space at 63 Madison Ave., the New York Post first reported.

George Comfort & Sons, the owners of the building, along with Jamestown and Loeb Partners are currently renovating the officer tower, at Madison Avenue and 28th Street.

George Comfort President Peter Duncan said Whole Foods was an "ideal fit" for the building, according to the newspaper.

The store will take over 10,000 square feet of street level space and 50,000 square feet on the second floor, per the Post.

The Amazon-owned chain has 13 locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan, with two more slated for One Wall Street and Manhattan West at 31st Street and 10th Avenue, according to its website.
