Police ID 2 Killed In Northern State Parkway Crash

Husein Radoncic, 26, of Queens, and Sasha Stopanjac, 22, of Liberty, died in a crash in Melville.

MELVILLE, NY — Two people were killed and two more were injured in a crash on the Northern State Parkway in Melville early Sunday, New York State Police said.

Tomislav Ivkov, 22, of Queens, was driving a 2001 Audi westbound on the parkway near Exit 39 when the vehicle hit the guard rail then several trees and a light post around 1:30 a.m., police said. Ivkov and the front-seat passenger, Marco Radinovic, 21, of Queens, were brought to Nassau University Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Husein Radoncic, 26, of Queens, and Sasha Stopanjac, 22, of Liberty, died at the crash site. They were in the back seat of the vehicle, police said.
