Huntington Woman Raising Cancer Funds

Huntington resident Sarah VanDine is raising funds on Go Fund Me in memory of her mother, Marilyn Young VanDine. 

"Nearly 10 years ago my mother discovered she had a rare form of cancer-cholangiocarcinoma, or cancer of the bile duct.  It's a very aggressive cancer that is often missed, and unfortunately she passed away 6 months after her diagnosis.

"I've participated in different events to help throughout the years, but I could think of no better way to both honor her and raise awareness than participate in 10 races this year.  All of my travel fees are coming out of pocket, with the help of friends offering to host me in different cities.  I figure this is a much better use of my loan money than going on a vacation somewhere in 2014."
