Car Bursts Into Flames In Dix Hills

DIX HILLS, NY — A car burst into flames in Dix Hills Wednesday afternoon. Suffolk police got a call for a car fire on Woods End Road and South Service Road at 1:25 p.m., the Public Information Office told Patch. No one was in the car, and police said it didn't appear that anyone was injured.

The Dix Hills Fire Department put out the flames. Three trucks, two ambulances and a paramedic unit responded under the direction of assistant chiefs Joe Williamson and Scott DiPino.
