Cold Front To Bring Heavy Rain, Strong Winds To Suffolk
A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Suffolk County.

A cold front is expected to hit Suffolk County on Monday night and into Wednesday, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds to the region, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook says there is a chance for isolated, damaging wind gusts on Tuesday during the day and night.
The front will also bring approximately two to three inches of rain to the region, with three to five inches possible in certain areas, forecasters say.

"This presents an areawide threat for minor urban and small stream flooding, with a localized threat for flash flooding," NWS says.

- Monday afternoon: Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Southeast wind 11 to 14 mph.
- Monday night: Areas of drizzle before 2 a.m., then areas of drizzle with a chance of showers after 2am. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Southeast wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
- Tuesday: Showers. Patchy fog before 2 p.m. High near 71. Breezy, with a south wind around 22 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Tuesday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 63. Breezy, with a south wind 18 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between one and two inches possible.
- Wednesday: Showers likely, mainly before 9 a.m. Cloudy, with a high near 69. Southwest wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
- Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51.
