Deer Park Ave. Property Remains Vacant
Parcel is located along the Deer Park/Dix Hills border on the west side of Route 231.
A parcel of land along Deer Park Ave. just south of the border with Dix Hills remains vacant and a large amount of trash can be seen on the property.
Hanging on the fence that surrounds the parcel of land is a notice that an application for a variance was made by TD Bank. The notice dates back to Sept. 2012 and it is not clear what the outcome of the hearing was.
An e-mail to Babylon Town officials seeking an update on the property was not immediately returned.
While the parcel remains vacant, large amounts of trash that includes what appears to be six oxygen tanks litters the property. In addition, a road paver machine is also sits on the vacant parcel.
