Missing Dix Hills Mother, Daughter Found Unharmed: Police
The mother and 2-year-old daughter who went missing on Monday were found OK, Suffolk police said.

Updated 2:15 p.m. Wednesday: Kristen Moore, 41, and her daughter, Alyssa Scott-Moore, 2, of Dix Hills, were found unharmed after they were reported missing on Monday, Suffolk police said on Wednesday afternoon. Police are continuing to investigate.
Original story: DIX HILLS, NY — A mother and daughter from Dix Hills are missing, Suffolk police said.
Kristen Moore, 41, and her daughter, Alyssa Scott-Moore, 2, left their Dix Hills home at 4:30 p.m. Monday, police said. Moore said she and her daughter were going to a doctor's appointment, but the two never returned, police said.

Kristen Moore, who may be driving a gray pickup truck, has previously lived in Bay Shore and has family in Ohio, police said.
Detectives asked anyone with information on the location of the two to call 911 or the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
