Dix Hills Resident Named National Bagel Eating Champion

The 33-year-old shoveled down five bagels in just five minutes.

Despite bagel eaters traveling from Philadelphia and Connecticut to participate in the first National Bagel Eating Contest, one Dix Hills resident proved no one loves bagels more than Long Islanders.

Keith Tuzzolino, 33, was crowned the Bagel Boss National Bagel Eating Champion on Sunday in Huntington after he shoveled down five bagels in just five minutes.

In addition to earning the title of bagel eating champion, Tuzzolino earned $500 cash for his efforts.

The event, held at LaunchPad Huntington, also featured a bagel expo with bagel tastings, bagel art, bagel games and more.

The National Bagel Eating Contest is an American competitive-eating competition, produced by the National Bagel Association.
