Highlights include a speech by Sarri Singer, survivor of a Jerusalem bus bombing.

Upcoming events at the Chai Center in Dix Hills

• Survivor of Bus Bomb
Tuesday, April 16, 7 p.m.
Sarri Singer is the daughter of New Jersey State Sen. Robert W. Singer and is the only survivor of a bus bombing in Jerusalem in 2003. She was sitting on Bus 14 when a suicidal bomber detonated a bomb killing 16 people, including all those seated around her. Singer has worked with various organizations that aid victims of terrorism. Her discussion topic will be “Survival, Not Victimhood.”

• Friendship Circle Yoga Program
Sundays, April 7, 14, 21, 28 and May 5; Fee is $10 per session
The class will consist of breathing techniques, visualizations, yoga postures, games, and relaxation. Through fun and movement all children will learn skills to support them in their daily life. Benefits of Yoga include improved concentration and focus, enhanced creativity, improved confidence, improved health and wellness, relieved anxiety and improved academic performance. Danielle Bonfanti, certified special needs yoga teacher, will lead the class.
