Flood Advisory Issued For Nassau, Western Suffolk

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Nassau County and western Suffolk County until 7:15 p.m. Thursday.

Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms in the area. This will cause minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Islip, Brentwood, Levittown, Freeport, Valley Stream, Commack, Long Beach, Huntington Station, Deer Park, Lindenhurst, Glen Cove,
Plainview, Garden City, Massapequa and Hauppauge.
