Nicole Rettinger of Dix Hills is among five Bryant Bulldogs to receive All-Conference honors from the Northeast Conference.
The senior defenseman was named to the All-NEC Second Team, her fourth consecutive all-league recognition. Touted as the “anchor” of the Bulldogs defense, Rettinger finished the 2013 regular season with 27 ground balls and 16 turnovers.
During the season she was responsible for handling all Bryant’s opponent’s top offensive threat game-in and game-out.
A 2009 graduate of Half Hollow Hills West High School, Rettinger was a two-sport athlete who lettered in basketball and lacrosse. As a senior, she received all-division, team MVP and Academic All-American honors.
