Alzheimer's Association Long Island offers free virtual legal and financial planning workshops for all NYS residents

The Alzheimer’s Association Long Island Chapter is offering a free two-part virtual Legal and Financial Planning education program on Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
This program is being offered to help all New York State caregivers and their families understand some of the changes to New York State’s Medicaid program, the CARES Act, learn about important legal and financial issues that need to be considered, how to put plans in place, and how to access legal and financial resources. Topics covered will include: making legal plans that fit your needs, legal documents you’ll need, practical strategies for making a long-term plan of care, tax deductions and credits, and government programs that can help pay for care. Featured presenters: Ronald Fatoullah, Esq.; Brian Tully, Esq.; Donna Stefans, Esq.; Dan Okrent, Esq. and David Panetta, CFE CPP.
Each session is 2 ½ hours long, including a question and answer session and a 15-minute break.
