Heavy Downpours Possible During Evening Commute
The threat of severe weather has fallen considerably, but we aren't completely out of the woods.

The threat of severe weather on Long Island Tuesday has fallen considerably from previous forecasts.
A few heavy downpours are possible Tuesday afternoon into the evening and there remains a possibility of localized flash flooding, but we shouldn't see any of the damaging winds and large hail that the National Weather Service was predicting on Monday night.
There's just a slight chance of thunderstorms the rest of the day.
