Hills East High School Loses Power
Outage occurs Wednesday morning, students being transported home.

Students at Half Hollow Hills East High School are heading home early as the building has lost power, a school district spokesperson told Patch Wednesday just before 12 p.m.
According to Chris Geed, a school district spokesperson, a blown transformer caused the power to go out at Hills East Wednesday morning. As of 11:30 a.m., students were being transported home.
She noted that High School East is the only school in the district impacted by the power outage. Geed said school district officials were unsure of when power would be restored but have contacted LIPA about the situation.
