Hills West Grad DeMatteo Running Strong For Duke
Dix Hills native enters is senior year for the Blue Devils.

Half Hollow Hills West graduate Domenick DeMatteo is in his senior year at Duke University, and a standout for the school’s track & field team.
The Dix Hills native has been a Blue Devil since transferring to the Durham, N.C.-based school from Columbia in 2010.
In a recent interview with GoDuke.com, DeMatteo said his proudest moment at Duke was when he posted a time of 13:50 in the 5K race as part of the Duke Invite.

“It was a home meet,” he told GoDuke.com. “We had the whole team there, it was a face off against (the University of North Carolina). It just felt great; the whole team ran really well.”
In the interview, DeMatteo is also asked about other experiences on the track, his personal likes and dislikes and what songs are on his iPod.
