Huntington Highway Department Issues Snow Storm Update
"Because of the weight of the dense snow, it is a difficult storm to keep up with...we will not go home until the job is finished."
A Message from Superintendent of Highways Kevin S. Orelli:
"We have around 300 people working between the Highway Department, outside Departments and private contractors. Because of the weight of the dense and heavy snow, it is a difficult storm to keep up with, and we are continuing to work and will not go home until the job is finished. We feel for the people who have not have been plowed out as of yet but please know that we will be there soon. Anyone who has an issue should call 631-499-0444 to report it and we will send someone there as soon as we can. Hopefully these incidents are isolated ones, because most of our streets have been plowed, some of them are in very good shape and some are not. Please know that we will get there, we have not stopped working, and we will continue until the job is completed."
