Huntington Hospital Doubles Its Blood Test Capabilities

Huntington Hospital’s new chemistry analyzers will double the laboratory’s capacity for blood tests and reduce wait times.

The hospital recently began using two new Siemens Vista 1500 chemistry analyzers. These devices can perform a wide variety of automated blood chemistry tests, including one that can detect if a patient had a recent heart attack. Patients’ heart attacks can be diagnosed sooner, allowing for more rapid treatment and better outcomes.

These new analyzers can perform up to one million tests each per year.
