Huntington Man Struck, Killed at Syosset LIRR

Man was crossing tracks when he was struck early Tuesday morning, say police.

A fatality occurred early Tuesday morning at the Syosset LIRR station, say MTA police. 

A 33-year-old male from Huntington was allegedly attempting to cross from one platform to the other when he was struck and killed by an eastbound train around 12:45 a.m. 

About 50 passengers were onboard the train when the man was struck. No residual delays have been reported.

The man's identity has not yet been released. 

A woman was struck and killed at the Syosset LIRR station just one month ago. A number of other fatalities have also occurred at the station over the past year.
