Huntington Releases Snow Storm Update From Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci

Travel is very hazardous so please stay off the roads and remember to remove vehicles from the roads so that plows can clear the snow.

Hello Huntington! This is Supervisor Chad Lupinacci with an update on storm-affected Town services for Monday. For the most updated information, read this message at HuntingtonNY.gov.

Travel is very hazardous so please stay off the roads and remember to remove vehicles from the roads so that plows can clear the snow for emergency vehicles and salt trucks.

  • If you must travel this evening, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
  • Report road blockages and other road emergencies at HuntingtonNY.gov/Highway or call 631-499-0444.
  • Please report power outages and downed wires to PSEG Long Island at 800-490-0075, psegliny.com or text OUT to PSEGLI

  • The Senior Center will be closed on Monday. Senior meal pickup and delivery is postponed until Tuesday. Drive-through meal pickup hours this week are Tuesday 12pm-2pm and Wednesday 11am-1pm. If you have questions, please call 631-351-3304.
  • Residential and municipal trash collection will take place as scheduled on Monday starting at 6am; if your household is on a Monday/Thursday collection schedule, please wait until late tonight or early tomorrow morning to place trash curbside so that snow plows can clear the roads.

Please check on elderly neighbors and remember to wear a mask if you live in close quarters with high-risk family, keep sanitizing high-touch surfaces and keep pets indoors.
