Kitten Rescued From Sewer Drain
A young kitten was rescued from a sewer drain after being trapped for over 24 hours after multiple agencies deemed the rescue too dangerous.
DIX HILLS, NY–A kitten was rescued from a sewer drain in front of a Dix Hills home, the Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals announced.
The kitten is no more than five weeks old and was trapped in the sewer drain for over 24 hours. Residents called multiple agencies to help save the kitten.
After all the agencies they called deemed the rescue too dangerous, Suffolk County SPCA Detective Jennifer Pape and John Spat from Save-A-Dog Animal Protection Services stepped up to the plate. They rescued the kitten and transported it to an animal hospital.
