Kitten Thrown From Moving Car On Northern State Parkway: SPCA
It's unknown if the kitten survived. A $3,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest, the SPCA says.

DIX HILLS, NY — A live kitten was thrown from a moving car on the Northern State Parkway on Thursday morning, the Suffolk County Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said. The SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person or people responsible, while The New York State Humane Association pledged an additional $1,000; combining for a $3,000 reward.
The black and white kitten was tossed out of the car around 7:56 a.m. Thursday on the eastbound side of the parkway between Exits 40 and 41, a caller told the SPCA. The caller saw the kitten roll over to the side of the road and land in the grass. Traffic was moving at roughly 70 mph; the kitten did not get hit by any vehicles, the caller said. The feline was thrown from a white vehicle, the caller told SPCA.
It's unknown if the kitten survived, Roy Gross, chief of the SPCA, told Patch. The organization intends to search the area.
