3-Car Crash Caused Long Island Expressway Lane Closure: Police
No one was injured, police say. The crash caused a lane closure Friday on the Long Island Expressway.

MELVILLE, NY — A three-car crash on the westbound Long Island Expressway Friday afternoon caused a lane closure, according to Suffolk police.
A man was driving an Acura heading west on the Long Island Expressway when he hit a Toyota Rav 4 disabled in the middle of the road near exit 49 in Melville around 1:40 p.m., police said. Neither the man driving the Acura or the woman in the Rav 4 were injured. The Acura then spun out and hit a BMW with two people in it, police said. The people in the BMW were not injured, either.
The high occupancy lane was blocked after the crash, according to 511 NY. The lane was cleared as of 3:30 p.m.
