Long Island Expressway Crash Causes 3 Lane Closures

DIX HILLS, NY — There was a car crash on the Long Island Expressway going eastbound on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened at Exit 51 (Deer Park Avenue) and NY-231 (Huntington) and was reported by 511 New York at 5:04 p.m. Three of four lanes were closed up until 5:21 p.m., though two lanes still remain closed.

This comes after a major crash on the LIE just Monday.
