Man Burglarizes Dix Hills Home: Police

Credit cards, a purse and wallet were stolen from the home, police say. Officers are looking for the burglar.

DIX HILLS, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police say stole from a Dix Hills home in June.

A man entered a home on Lincoln Avenue through an unlocked back window around 4:55 a.m. June 3, police said. He nabbed a Louis Vuitton purse, Tory Burch wallet and assorted credit cards, police said. The items are worth roughly $1,800. The man is wanted for burglary.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
