WEST HILLS, NY — A man was fatally struck by a train on Monday afternoon, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
The man, who was in his 60s, was killed at the Oakwood Road railroad crossing near West Hills and Huntington Station around 1:30 p.m., according to the MTA.
A preliminary investigation showed no criminality was involved in the man's death, but MTA police are still investigating, officials say.

LIRR service was restored around 3:30 p.m. after being temporarily suspended between Hicksville and Port Jefferson.
