Melville Chef To Cook In Fundraiser For Cancer-Afflicted Friend
The owner of Jewel Restaurant is joining forces with local chefs to support their friend and fellow chef who is battling cancer.

MELVILLE, NY — Tom Schaudel is one of 18 Long Island chefs participating in a cooking-based fundraiser to support Ryan Augusta, a friend and fellow chef who is battling cancer, according to Newsday.
Schaudel is the owner and head chef at Jewel Restaurant in Melville.
The Super Ryan Fundraiser is scheduled for July 31 from 7-11 p.m. at East Wind Long Island, a hotel and venue space in Wading River, and will include a buffet, live DJ, raffles and a Chinese auction, per Newsday.
