Melville Insurance Company Facing Age Discrimination Charges
EEOC says PJP Health Agency improperly treated employees because of their age.

A Melville-based health insurance company is facing age discrimination charges from the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which alleges managers at the company fired three employees because of their age.
According to a report in Newsday, the EEOC filed the lawsuit on Thursday in federal court in Central Islip after giving PJP Health Agency Inc. two attempts to settle the charges.
Sunu Chandy, a senior trial attorney with the EEOC, said the agency is serving as the plaintiff since this case is “egregious.”

Philip Teseo Sr., owner of PJP Health, referred all questions for the Newsday story to an official with the company as well as the company's attorney, Richard Milman of Lake Success, who also could not be reached for comment.
