Shake Shack In Melville Now Open

This will be Long Island's fourth Shake Shack location.

Shake Shack's new Melville location is officially opened on Thursday, March 30, making it the fourth Shake Shack to open on Long Island.

The fast-casual restaurant opened its doors at 11 a.m. The store is located at 849 Walt Whitman Road, next to 7-Eleven and across the street from the Melville Mall.

Shake Shack is a popular burger chain that offers 100 percent all-natural Angus beef with no hormones or antibiotics included. Their frozen custard is made out of red sugar and milk from dairy farmers who refuse to use artificial growth hormones.

Glasses of wine, such as Shack RedTM and Shack WhiteTM, are provided by Napa–based Frog’s Leap Winery.

The design of the Melville Shack is also eco-friendly. Tabletops are made by CounterEvolution using reclaimed bowling alley lanes, chairs are designed by Uhuru using sustainable materials and booths are crafted by Staach using lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

Shake Shack customers may order off their iPhone with the Shack App.

Long Island’s first Shake Shack opened in Westbury Plaza, located at 860 Old Country Road in Westbury, in November 2012. Since then, locations have opened in New Hyde Park in September 2015 and Lake Grove in March 2017.
