Temple Men's Club Plans Cantor Welcome
Dix Hills Jewish Center schedules Nov. 16 event.
The men's club at the Dix Hills Jewish Center is planning a night of music and comedy to welcome its new cantor.
"A Little Slice of Heven," named for Cantor Steven Hevenstone is scheduled for Nov. 16, and will feature entertainment by comics Robyn Schall, Les Degen, Alan Streisfeld and Stevie GB.
The club said "the cantor will showcase his Broadway caliber voice."
The event starts at 8:45 p.m. with tickets going for $36 per person in advance and $40 per person at the door. Dessert and coffee bar and a Scotch tasting presented by Royal Spirits Distributors are also planned.
